Chris Thompson is the Managing Director of Navigate International. As such, Chris has lead consulting teams on international research and strategy projects throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and the Americas. His work has covered a broad range of industries including Healthcare, Chemicals, Industrial Products, Manufacturing, Software, IT, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Insurance, Consumer Products and Energy. Trained in the fields of international business, technology and trade, Chris received his B.A. in International Politics from Wesleyan University and an International M.B.A. from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Chris holds certifications in 'eBusiness Development' and 'Alliance Strategy' from New York University and Brandeis University respectively and he speaks publicly on topics related to competitive intelligence and market development strategy.
Prior to founding Navigate International in 2001, Chris worked for technology firms EDS and USinternetworking (AT&T) in New York City, providing business planning, finance and business development services supporting the US and international markets. He has also spent time in Africa and Latin America working with various economic, social and education oriented non-profit organizations including PLAN International, USAID, Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Women’s Coalition of Botswana and others. Chris has been an active participant in many professional organizations and he is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Sigma Iota honor societies and the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP).
Chris is married and resides in Golden, CO with his wife and three children. He enjoys music, fishing and craft beer. Chris is an avid traveler who has lived and worked in Mexico, Germany, France, Botswana and throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean and he speaks English, French and Spanish.
