Dr. Roe Goddard is a Senior Strategist specializing in the business environment of China, market entry and cross-cultural relations. Dr. Goddard was previously a consultant with Arthur Andersen in their Shanghai, China office and has taught at several universities in China and the U.S. including the M.B.A. program at Thunderbird — The Garvin School of International Management in Arizona and the Southwest University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. At Arthur Andersen, Dr. Goddard assisted firms entering the China market and in managing their relationship with the Chinese government. Dr. Goddard has several years of practical business development experience with Upjohn Pharmaceutical, now Pfizer. Dr. Goddard received his M.B.A. in International Business from the University of Denver and his Ph.D. in International Political Economy from the University of South Carolina. Dr.Goddard has over two decades of experience in corporate consulting and executive education with domestic and foreign multinational corporations including Boeing, Honeywell, IBM, Wiltel Communication, AG Communications, General Electric, General Motors, Rockwell Automation, Philips and SK Group. His major areas of teaching and research are in international political economy, globalization and foreign direct investment in China. Most recently, Dr.Goddard published a case study on China’s economic reform process and the management of manufacturing enterprises in China.
