Ken Ferris is a Senior Finance & Valuation Specialist for Navigate and a
Distinguished Professor of World Business at Thunderbird — The Garvin School of International Management. Professor Ferris has earned a Ph.D. and an M.A. from The Ohio State University, and an M.B.A. and a B.B.A. from The George Washington University. He has served on the faculties of Ohio State University, Northwestern University, Southern Methodist University, Kwansei Gakuin University of Japan, The University of Otago in New Zealand, and Monash University and Bond University of Australia.
Professor Ferris previously worked for PriceWaterhouse, Harbridge House Inc., and was a director of three NYSE-listed companies, including Valhi, Inc. (NYSE:VHI),an acquisition-oriented holding company. While a director of Valhi, he co-managed the $170 million acquisition of Tremont Corporation. Professor Ferris has written over 100 case studies, published more than 50 articles, and authored or co-authored 11 books, including his latest book entitled Valuation: Avoiding the Winner’s Curse (published by The Financial Times). His specialty is corporate financial reporting and firm valuation.
